During the last few years, Repsol has consolidated its long-term growth strategy, giving priority to key business, diversifying its assets portfolio and incorporating new partners for the development of its most potentially attractive areas. The keys to generating value in the future are based on 5 lines of action:

The company has committed itself to boosting efforts in the area of exploration and production, in order to develop resources in difficult to access areas with extraordinary results, which has allowed the reserve ratio to be replaced at 131%.

Another of the company's key strategic lines is that of making important investments in order to consolidate one of the  most flexible and efficient oil product refinery and marketing systems  in Europe.  The investment made in the modernisation of the Cartagena Refinery is one of the biggest made in Spain, and it hopes to increase the conversion capacity  and improve the competitiveness of the facilities.
